Happy Easter

I was surprised to know that Easter is not only about Jesus, the Easter bunny or Coloring eggs. These are a compilation of customs and celebration in roman time. When these festival of different religions was combined by Roman Emperor Constantine. He was one of the first christian Roman Emperors. He was trying to please all of the people when he did this. I now know why some people have begun to refer to Easter as Resurrection Sunday. Nothing against those that color eggs and Eat chocolate covered Easter Bunny's.

What happened on the seconed day-Saturday

Jesus died on calvary on that Friday. My question is what happened between that Friday, and that Easter Sunday. The ultimate question is what was Jesus doing? Where did he go and what was accomblished?

When Jesus died on the cross he said it is finished. That was the ultimate part but something else happened. When he went into Haddes(Hell) unloosed the keys to captivity. All of the people that were on the good side of Hell called Haddess were the great saints such as Abraham, Moses, and all the other people that tried to keep the Commandments. When Jesus went down there it was said that saints were even seen walking about. This was amazing. The devil thought that he had Jesus and that he would not be able to get pass the captivity of Hell, but he rose with all power in his hand.

If you have more feedback let me know. I don't have all the answers.

March Winds Blowing

March has blown in quickly, and I had no time to say goodbye to February. The new month is in and I was not ready for it. I see God moving like never before. Like the exceleration of the car everything is happening so fast. Time is speeding up. Whatever we have been procrastinating about we need to start. Whatever we did not finish in 2008 must be completed in 2009. Wake up all sleepy heads from slumber; a new day has arrived. Time is winding up ,and prophecy is in play. Don't be left with your work undone.

Happy Valentines Day

Happy Valentines Day to all our Forgotten Seed friends. We hope that you have a very nice Valentines Day. I know some people may have not found that special someone out there. It's better to take your time and find Miss. Right or Mr. Right. If you found them, cherish them.

Don't forget your first love........Jesus.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him shall; not perish but have everlasting life. St. John 3:l6

Happy New Year

Happy New year to all!!!!!

I'm hoping that this New Year will be better than last year. One thing I can say about the New Year is that it is a "New Year". It is a chance to do things differently than the year before. It is a chance to see what you can do that would improve your quality of life. New Years resolution can be nice gestures that get loss somewhere between Jan and March.

If you want to stay on track you can keep a Journal, write your goals, write challenges on the calendar or maybe even keeping a bulletin board with daily and weekly goals.

Reflection on Thanksgiving

For a Thanksgiving Fellowship I was asked to do a presentation of The Lords Prayer in Sign Language. I had taken this class 3 years ago but someone remembered that I knew this skill. I had put it on the back burner, but I can tell you that God will remind you always of what you had agreed to do for his glory. Making A long stroyshort, I did the Lord's Prayer in sign language even though I was a little rusty. The Holy Spirit does bring things back to your remembrance.

At the fellowship one of the ministers said thatI should minister to the deaf. This was confirmation as to what God had said the day before. I know this probably has not occurred to you, but there are deaf people that are waithing to have the word of God ministered to them in sign language. Have you though about signing. It's not as hard as it looks.

Belated Thanksgiving

Happy belated thanksgiving to all!!!!

I hope and trust that everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving. The traditional dinner that has all the fixing and trimmings. This is a special time of the year that everyone looks to spend time with family and friends. A time of thanks that is much needed throughout the year. A time to reflect on love and appreciation of ones family and friends.

It is also a time to reflect on how blessed we are. If you have Christ in you life you have the ultimate reason to give thanks everyday of your life. Along with our thanks for turkey and good eating we should celebrate Jesus. We give him thanks today and hopefully everyday for dying on the cross for us. We thank him for taking on the sins of humanity and cleaning the slate for those that ask him into there hearts. We give thanks for the trinity God the Father, God the Son and the Holy Spirit.

The Harvest is ripe but the Laborer are few

When we see the picture of the man in the field, it is evident he is working alone. This is a good illustration of the scripture Luke 10:2 which says that the harvest is ripe, but the laborers are few. Imagine litterally being the man in the picture trying to take care of a huge field such as this one. What would be some of the things that would go through your mind. I know help comes to my mind; so what comes to yours?

God wants us to be laborers for his work. He needs people who are willing to think of others while doing Gods will. I know many people are out there saying that they are christians, but how many are doing things in the church or in ministry. God is not pleased with people being bench warmers. Jesus is coming soon lets put our hands to the plow.

Why Forgotten Seed

Some people may say why did you choose Forgotten Seed for your missionary outreach. It all started when I wanted to choose a new career that would fit for me. I felt compelled by the lord to take a business class I found for low income people. I didnn't mind because at the time I was doing temp jobs that incorporated me in subing for people who were on vacation or took a day or two. It wasn't so bad but God was pricking on my heart. One night a year and a half ago I went to sleep perpelexed with what type of program can I do. I woke up in a start as if someone had punched me in the stomach. I found my self thinking "that's it, that's it; .....Forgotten Seed." " For they are God's forgotten people. " Who are the Forgotten Seed, but the elderly who are lonely and in need of socialization. I latter felt another tug on West Africa as well due to the fact that my husband is from there. He says that people there are just like here, and because of the political wars things have got rough and a lot of people just don't have jobs. Medical coverage is not like here and people many times can't afford doctors paying cash out of pocket. If you can't pay you can't be seen. Another concern is that Some people don't have but one meal a day. We here have public Assistance, but they don't have this system at all. How do you feel about this let me know your thoughts and concerns. How would you like to help.

Organizations Logo

If you look at the right hand corner you will see the Logo that the lord has helped me to create. It shows the hand of God and how there was a seed that grew to a certain height but it is not complete, just as those that are not doing well are not forgotten by God. They are still growing and with the help of his God and his fellow man. What also comes to mind is please be patient with me God is not threw with me yet. Can you relate.

My First Day

I have started this Missionary outreach with the understanding that when given a vision God will give Provision. It has now been a year and a half since God has given me the vision for Forgotten Seed. Though it has been only the last 6 months that I have stepped out on faith. When one steps out on faith it is not easy. When Peter stepped out on faith he literally got out of the boat.

What about you ? Have you gotten out of the boat yet? Have you begun the journey of stepping out on faith?
